Is The New Google Phone the iPhone Killer?

It was on Good Morning America, Time Magazine’s website, the anticipated new launch of the Google Phone. At New York City’s launch of the “Google phone” — the first mobile handset to run Google’s new Android operating system — was the Google folks themselves.

It has a bit more weight to it than the iPhone, but the G1, Google Phone, features a small keyboard, a trackball, and a higher-resolution, three-megapixel camera (versus the two-megapixel camera on the iPhone).

Along with its Google-designed browser, the Google phone features a more powerful version of Google Maps with a built-in compass and 360-degree photos. And Gmail users get instantly notified when new messages arrive in their inbox, instead of having to check manually. The G1 goes on sale October 22 for $179 ($20 less than the iPhone) and will be available in white, brown or black.

Cannot Create or Add Spaces Between Paragraphs

lol…. this was a doozy. Friend asked to create a new blog and site. Site I created, blog, well… IT WAS A PAIN!

The desing part and tweaking it was very easy. But for some reason when creating posts, I was not able to add spaces between paragraphs. I would hit ‘enter’, ‘enter, create, what I thought was a double space to begin a new paragraph. Except that when I tried to save, it would get rid of the page breaks and tags and I was back to square one. NO SPACES BETWEEN PARAGRAPHS!!

Enough talk, here was a simple solution…. a plugin!

TinyMCE Advanced Plugin

This was the answer!

Simply download from here and follow the directions from the site. It helped me a lot of aggravation!!

Cannot Reset Password on Symantec Console

Man, did this one make me sick… it took me close to an hour and a half to find a solution to this one!

On a server where Symantec Corporate edition was installed, I could not unlock the server group under the Symantec Console.

I attempted several times to use the iforgot.exe tool that everyone suggests. But the stupid iforgot didn’t “iwork”. I know, that wasn’t funny….

Anyway, I finally found a solution that works….. ttaaaaaddaaaa!!

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Go to Run and type in Regedit and hit enter.

2. Under the registry editor browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion.

3. Copy and Paste the contents below to a new notepad file and save it as “filename.reg”…. (make sure it ends in .reg).

4. After saving the file, double click the new reg file to add it  to the registry.

***************************************DONT COPY THIS LINE*************************************************

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Accounts]

“user-admin-p”=”s7CxGC0ZiW1Fk7mJV2Lcn8Gso+245G0khV/EvY5Z8zs+NY0=”

“user-admin-r”=”20ABEC27837266AF34AE6C0A2683B5BB4714B6B7F34″

******************************DONT COPY THIS LINE**************************************

Then run the iforgot.exe the ususal way.The user name is admin(case sensitive)

To find the iForgot.exe tool:

To reset the Symantec System Center admin user password

  1. On the computer running Symantec System Center, start Windows Explorer.
  2. Go to \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec System Center\Tools.
  3. In the right pane, double-click the IFORGOT.exe file.
  4. In the Primary server field, type the name of the server group’s primary server.
  5. In the user field, type admin
  6. In the New Password and Confirm New Password fields, type the new password.
  7. Click Reset Password.
You may be prompted for a Windows user name and password if you specify a remote server.

Can’t Get Essential Parameter Error Installing Adobe Reader

You may receive the following error when attempting to install Adobe reader from the internet: “can’t get essential parameter (15229.305.1023)”.

Annoying isn’t it? You try to install a simple application such as the Adobe Reader and you can’t, because of a stupid error, that… get a hold of this… is caused by Microsoft’s IE. No?!?! Really!? Yes!!

Here’s my solution… quite a simple one I may add.

Simply download the Adobe Reader install to your computer and run it from there.

How to Find the Owner of a Phone Number

If you’re getting prank calls or if you find a number on you caller identification that you don’t recognize, you probably want to find out who is behind that number.  The good news is that finding the owner of a phone number is easier than you might think with Reverse Phone Detective!

As long as you have the area code and the seven digit number, you should be able to locate any number’s owner, if you know where to look.

Searching For That Number

Your first stop should be a free reverse phone number directory.  Plenty of them are available on the Internet.  At the site, you’ll enter the entire number including the area code and hit “Search.” If the number is a published land line, you should get the information you want, including the name of the owner and the entire address of the owner.

If you’re lucky enough to get results, then your search can stop there.  In most cases, you’ll need to try a slightly different approach.

Usually, the reason you’ll run into problems is that the number belongs to a cell phone.  Because there is no central database of cell phone numbers, free reverse phone directories cannot return information on those numbers.  You also won’t be able to get information on landline numbers that are unlisted or non-published.

Don’t bother trying multiple reverse phone directories in order to find the owner of a phone number, either.  Most use the same databases, so if you don’t score results at one then you won’t fare any better at another site.

Find a Phone Number Owner – With Reverse Phone Detective

Instead, you may have to use a paid site.  For a reasonable fee, you can access all of the information you need about the owner of a phone number using Reverse Phone Detective. Our database gives you accurate, up-to-date information using both land line and cell phone searches.

Our exclusive database includes broad coverage of the entire United States – with better results than you’ll find at most other sites.  We also give you free search assistance, access to expanded people search databases, and more.

In addition, we also give you a 100%, ironclad guarantee – if you don’t get results, you don’t pay.  It’s a no-brainer!

To use Reverse Phone Detectives’ reverse lookup service, you will pay a fee which gives you an unlimited number of searches inside the members’ area, plus a premium full phone report.  After you sign up, just enter the phone number you want to find, click “Search,” and you’ll have your information.  It’s that easy!
