I have to vent a bit:

I am positive you have seen it, “Learn how a guy making $1,600/mo and being $20,000 in debt, went to building an affiliate business that’s generating over 2.4 million a year!”.

Man, that is such bull crap!! What is neglected to tell you is that the person didn’t make all of that money online selling other products, but their own “get rich quick” program on how they made it. They make their real money luring in victims of the current economic crisis. I have to admit I was one of them.

You have to ask yourself this… if someone out there is making or generating over 2.4 million a year in affiliate marketing, why in the world would they waste their time and effort in putting together a program to “help” others do the same? Wouldn’t they be too busy with their affiliate marketing business? And if their program is so well fit for anyone to make money, why do they always include “free” bonus tools from other so called “gurus” or is it just another tactic in getting your email address to other predators that offer the same crap?

I know I’ll probably get yelled for saying this but I have yet to come across an affiliate marketer that is willing to share their “secrets” for free. And I mean completely free…. not some antiquated crappy technique that doesn’t work anymore, or offer you some vague e-book filled with information from free e-zine sites in exchange for your email address. And of course, now that they have your email address, they fill your inbox with offers from other “gurus” and their new products. That is how they really make their money… not selling products from Buy.com as an affiliate.

I’ve been trying to get into affiliate marketing for a while now, and all I have to show for it is enough money to pay for my ISP bill every month. Not bad I think, but it’s far from the 6 figures that the gurus think that I can make.

Sorry, but I don’t have $97 for a crappy ebook or even $77. If you really want to help someone, call me or give me your number to call you and let’s see then if you can walk me through making some real money…. till then, QUIT SENDING ME CRAP!!

Update 7:00pm - 10/21/2008: I still haven’t made any money…. making millions a year as an affiliate marketer….lol..lol..lol. Yah RIGHT!!

You may have encountered or are encountering this. You pop in a cd-rw or cd-r disc into your cd-burner and now you no longer receive a window to choose what to do with it. When you attempt to drag a file to the cd-rw burner, you get an error.What gives?!? Very simple fix, at least for me it was. This is what I did…. I’ll have pics to make it that much easier for you.

First, right click on the cd-rw burner itself and select properties.

Next, select the ‘Recording tab’ and make sure that it is enabled, as pictured below:

That’s it… very easy!
