How to Fix Stop Error 0×0000007E on Windows XP

Worked on a pc, getting the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) with the stop error 0×0000007E. Beauty of it all, it didn’t specify a driver file, like pci.sys, or anything similar.

Here is the fix for that:

Try moving all third-party driver files from the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder to a different location. Follow these steps to move the third-party driver files:

  1. Use the Recovery Console to start the computer, or start the computer from a different installation of Windows if you have performed a parallel Windows installation.
  2. Create a temporary folder to hold the driver files. For example, you could create c:\DriverTemp.
  3. Move all files that do not have a creation date for Windows XP of 8/13/2001 from the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder into the temporary folder that you created in step 2.Caution If the computer relies on third-party IDE or SCSI controller drivers for correct operation, you must identify those driver files and then leave them in the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Continue the Windows Setup program. You can add the driver files back to the computer one at a time to identify the faulty driver.

Let us know how you make out! Hope it helps!

How to Rank For Any Keyword With a Legitimate Search Engine “Loophole”

Everyone wants to have their site rank well in Google.

And why not? Not only can Google send you a boatload of free traffic - it’s also highly targeted, and it’s one of the best ways to drive business.

The problem is, that exact same ideal is shared with thousands of your direct competitors. This creates an environment where you’ll always be fighting, kicking and scratching to maintain your traffic - along with the ever present fear that your livelihood is only one “algorithm update” away from vanishing.

And that’s if you can even get ranked for any decent keyword, to begin with…

In fact, only the largest, most-established authority sites can reliably see consistent traffic from Google. And even then, their rankings fluctuate constantly - several times a day, in some cases.

The fact is - it’s getting harder and harder for the “little guy” to get any kind of meaningful web presence on the web these days.

Getting ranked in Google is almost impossible unless you’ve got a major promotional budget and some time on your hands to “wait” for your domain to become trusted (Google favors older domains). And advertising with pay-per-click ads isn’t affordable like it once was.

Search marketing has finally become what everyone feared it would - a game reserved for big business.

But what if there was still a way to legtiimately rank for keywords with tons of traffic?

And what if you could do this without having to spend months and even years building up an authority site to do so?

In fact - what if you could systematically create one-page minisites that could rapidly rank in the top 3 spots (consistently) for basically any keyword you target within a matter of a week or so?

Is this for real?

YES.

But not with Google.

It’s happening right now, as we speak, on MSN.com

Now - before you think it - yes, I know, MSN doesn’t have nearly the reach that Google does. But, it still does receive millions and millions of search users daily. After all - MSN is the default home-page for anyone who first uses Internet Explorer.

And, to put it in perspective, which would drive more traffic?

Occupying the #1 ranking for your most desirable keyword target on MSN?

Or occupying the #47 spot on page 5 of Google’s results?

Sadly, it’s actually more effort to make it to the 47th spot in Google than it is to literally dominate in MSN.

How does this work?

Watch this video to find out:

RankingLoophole - >

Like I said - forget about Google.

Focus on something that you can actually WIN with, and win big!

Blackberry Gives C++ Runtime Error: Abnormal Program Termination

Running Blackberry Desktop Manager results in C++ Runtime Error: Abnormal Program Termination.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh, drove me crazy for a bit there. Haven’t worked on Blackberrys for a while and when this error came up, it brought back memories.

But, it is a simple fix. The error is very misguiding, very lame and vague. If you are using Microsoft Outlook it means one thing. There’s an attachment in one of your calendar entries and the Blackberry Desktop Manager doesn’t like it.

Here’s how to figure it out:

1. Open Outlook Calendar.

2. Click View–>Arrange By (Outlook 2003)–>Current View–>By Category

3. Add ‘Created’ and ‘Attachment’ columns if not already present. You can add these columns by clicking on View from the top menu, ‘Arrange By‘ and then select Custom from the list. Click on the Fields button and there you can add the field columns.

4. Sort the Created column to display the most recent at the top.

5. Look for a recent entry with an attachment. The entry will have a paper clip next to it under the paper clip column. Delete this entry and try synchronizing your Blackberry again.

This works like a charm for me… let me know if you have any other suggestions!
