You may have encountered or are encountering this. You pop in a cd-rw or cd-r disc into your cd-burner and now you no longer receive a window to choose what to do with it. When you attempt to drag a file to the cd-rw burner, you get an error. What gives?!? Very simple fix, at least for me it was. This is what I did…. I’ll have pics to make it that much easier for you.

First, right click on the cd-rw burner itself and select properties.
Next, select the ‘Recording tab’ and make sure that it is enabled, as pictured below:

That’s it… very easy!

lol…. this was a doozy. Friend asked to create a new blog and site. Site I created, blog, well… IT WAS A PAIN!
The desing part and tweaking it was very easy. But for some reason when creating posts, I was not able to add spaces between paragraphs. I would hit ‘enter’, ‘enter, create, what I thought was a double space to begin a new paragraph. Except that when I tried to save, it would get rid of the page breaks and tags and I was back to square one. NO SPACES BETWEEN PARAGRAPHS!!
Enough talk, here was a simple solution…. a plugin!
TinyMCE Advanced Plugin
This was the answer!
Simply download from here and follow the directions from the site. It helped me a lot of aggravation!!

Man, did this one make me sick… it took me close to an hour and a half to find a solution to this one!
On a server where Symantec Corporate edition was installed, I could not unlock the server group under the Symantec Console.
I attempted several times to use the iforgot.exe tool that everyone suggests. But the stupid iforgot didn’t “iwork”. I know, that wasn’t funny….
Anyway, I finally found a solution that works….. ttaaaaaddaaaa!!
Follow these steps carefully:
1. Go to Run and type in Regedit and hit enter.
2. Under the registry editor browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion.
3. Copy and Paste the contents below to a new notepad file and save it as “filename.reg”…. (make sure it ends in .reg).
4. After saving the file, double click the new reg file to add it to the registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Accounts]

Then run the iforgot.exe the ususal way.The user name is admin(case sensitive)
To find the iForgot.exe tool:
To reset the Symantec System Center admin user password
- On the computer running Symantec System Center, start Windows Explorer.
- Go to \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec System Center\Tools.
- In the right pane, double-click the IFORGOT.exe file.
- In the Primary server field, type the name of the server group’s primary server.
- In the user field, type admin
- In the New Password and Confirm New Password fields, type the new password.
- Click Reset Password.
You may be prompted for a Windows user name and password if you specify a remote server.

You may receive the following error when attempting to install Adobe reader from the internet: “can’t get essential parameter (15229.305.1023)”.
Annoying isn’t it? You try to install a simple application such as the Adobe Reader and you can’t, because of a stupid error, that… get a hold of this… is caused by Microsoft’s IE. No?!?! Really!? Yes!!
Here’s my solution… quite a simple one I may add.
Simply download the Adobe Reader install to your computer and run it from there.

This may be a common issue. You attempt to start Internet Explorer and instead you get an windows error and it prompts you to either send or not send the report.
Well, before selecting to either send or not, the links on that window will help in troubleshooting the real problem.

At this window, click on the “What does this error report contain?”.
At this window, you will be able to read what DLL or File may be causing the issue.
What I was able to find was that a “toolbar.dll” file was the culprit.
That allowed me to look further into the issue. Withour starting Internet Explorer, I right clicked on the icon on the desktop, (if it’s not a shortcut that is), and selected properties. Another way to do it, is from Control Panel -> Internet Options.
At the Internet Properties window, select the Programs tab. Click on your Manage-Add ons button. At the Manage Add-ons window, from the drop down menu to Show, select ‘Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer’. From the list of add-ons keep an eye under the ‘Type’ column for anything that may mention toolbar, or anything resembling the error file. When you select the item, you have a choice to enable or disable the add-on. Select to disable.
At this point, disable all toolbars, or anything resembling the culprit file. Restart IE, and if it works, you found the problem. Which in my case was that stupid Zango toolbar. What in the world is Zango anyway?
So, after finding out it was a toolbar, I went back and enabled them one by one, restarting IE in between each change to determine which one it was.
Hopes this helps!
