On your laptop's control panel under Display->Connect A Projector, make sure you have selected either duplicate or extend my display.

You can also just hit the Windows Key + P

Unlike computers, TVs have only built-in drivers for wireless network adapters. You cannot install drivers for other adapters, so you must use the adapter required by the TV maker. You need either a Samsung branded adapter or one which is certified by Samsung to work with your TV.

An LCD is the same as an LED in pros, cons and specs. The LED just has a different type of backlighting, making it slimmer and lighter,, Plasma is a totally different animal... Fast response time, newer plasmas do not have the burn-in issue, average lifespan 60,000 hours plus. Excellent off to the sides viewing, up to 170 degrees. (Try that with your LCD/LED.) The biggest problem with LED and LCD is the slow response time, causing a blur on fast action, and rather poor off to the sides viewing. (No blur on fast action with plasma.!) No refresh rates needed.!

LED TVs are nice, for two reasons.

1. They save power.
2. They give you a far more vibrant color on your display.

Plasma > LCD, if you like deep rich colors. (however, plasma tvs can some times show way more glare from window sunlight, and other light sources..) While LCD tvs often have glare resistant surfaces.

I'd recommend an LED-Based TV, and personally, I like Plasma screens. :P

Most hi-def TVs have an audio out plug that takes a digital optical audio cable. You would run that connection from the TV to the digital optical audio input on the home theater receiver.

Then you run all of your inputs, the Blu Ray player, and the PS3 by way of HDMIs into the HDMI inputs on the receiver, and then run just one HDMI from the receiver to the TV.

You might not want the sound going into the TV first and then into the receiver.

The image will be a few milliseconds ahead of the audio. It can make sounds out of sync, such as words not exactly matching up with mouths.

So, using two HDMI cables: [PS3] --into--> [A/V receiver] --> into --> [Television.]

If you have more than one HDMI input on this TV and I am sure you have then buy a HDMI cable to connect for the suround sound.
Not sure you have, or even done that but you can also buy conversion adaptors to do same job.
It is easy because you have a good LG

An LED is just an LCD with a different type of backlighting, making it slimmer and lighter.. However, the same specs as an LCD.. Motion blur is common on LCD/LED without a high refresh rate.. If you do not have an HD feed, it will look kinda crappy.. The best pic is with a HD cable box and an HDMI cable connecting the cable box to the TV.. Then you change your TV input to 'HDMI' instead of 'cable'...Samsung is a very good TV brand.. (I do run my sharpness control kind of high also, it helps a lot, even with HD..)

An LED is an LCD.

The only difference is the sort of light used as the back lighting.

LCD uses mercury bulbs.

LED uses the Diodes. Which can be on the corners of the TV (edge lighting) or all across the board (can't remember the term, but it's like full LED or something)?

You have to make sure you're getting an HD feed to it through an HDMI cable.

With some companies like DirectTV you need to upgrade to HD channels

Otherwise picture will look like shite, not bad, but just shite

LCD is liquid crystal display.
An LED is a light emitting diode, which are used as the backlighting of some of the newer LCD tvs. The sets can be real thin because leds are thinner than the fluorescent lighting that is found on other LCD tv sets.
So your picture might not be as clear as people are "led" to believe. It's just a different way to light up the tv. The display would need to have a better technology for it to be a lot better, not just the backlighting.

You attach your antenna to the tv. Then you look in your owner's manual for instructions on how to do an over the air channel scan, and do that. Which ever channels are near enuf without interference will be picked up. You may need to move the antennal around a little to pick up stations, but that is how to do it.

You won't get any cable channels, you will only pick up local over the air stations. For cable, you need to subscribe to a provider and pay for the service.

Basically, the specs and performance of LCD to LED is the same.! The difference is the backlighting on the LED, making it slimmer and lighter... All else is the same as LCD. Anyone telling you differently is full of it.! The average lifespan of either is easily 60,000 hours.

LED is quickly replacing the traditional LCD backlighting technology and is the only way to go. The CCFL fluorescent tubes used in LCD have been causing multitudes of problems lowering their useful life spans to 3-4 years.

Back lighting. LED is the superior tech here. Both are LCD but one is back lighted by LED's while the other is back lighted by what amounts to florescent bulbs.

Since the LED is cheaper, check it for LCD response time. Basically, look for something like a sports ticker and see if the letters are clear. If not, avoid set.

There is 2 current types of 3d tv, both having physical differences:

1) Active 3D: in this type of television the physical differences is an added module to communicate with the active shutter glasses to keep them in sync. This will enable the television to display the correct frame at the same time as the glasses.

2) Passive 3D: They add a polarized filter in front of the screen in a passive 3d tv. This enable the pixels to have a different polarized light, thus creating 2 images with different polarization at the same time.

So from a manufacturer stand point, they can relatively easy take any of their television and convert them to 3D (but in the active shutter case, the television need to have a high enough refresh rate to alternate between the two)

I would suggest you go to UPS, FedEx and DHL web sites. You will need the weight and dimensions of the shipping box or crate. With that information you should be able to calculate the shipping cost.

Plug in the yellow cable from the Wii to the green/yellow port on the TV, then red to red (make sure it's the audio red, not the Component red) and white to white. Set the TV input to AV, power up the Wii, and it should work.
