Cheat modeAt the main menu, select “Options”, “Cheats”, “Enter New Cheat”, then enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Each note or chord must be strummed.
Through The Fire And The Flames songSuccessfully complete Career mode on any difficulty setting to unlock “Through The Fire And The Flames” song by Dragonforce.
Bonus charactersSuccessfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character:

Battle Lou in Expert mode with Easy mode notesWhen the battle with Lou starts at the end of the game on Expert mode, strum without holding any frets until you lose. At the “Game Over” screen, select “Tutorial”. Pick the tutorial for Guitar Battle, and play through it until the “Lesson Complete” message appears. As soon as the next fret board appears, pause the game, and exit to return to the lesson menu. Then, press Red to return to the list of songs. The battle with Lou will be highlighted. Choose the song, and Lou’s notechart will now be set to Easy mode. Note: Your notechart will still be in Expert mode, but his will be in Easy mode.
Easier songsBefore the beginning of the song (before the chords appear), move the Strum Bar Up and Down until the meter stops going down. Note: When the meter stops it will be in the red, and when the meter starts again it will be somewhere in the middle of the song.
Easy Through The Fire And Flames songBefore you use Star Power when playing the “Through The Fire And Flames” song, pause the game. Hold Back, and resume the game. By doing this, you will not miss as many notes if you are going for a “Five Star” rank.
Hammering onNote: This can only be used if there is one note immediately following another. When you play a single green, red, yellow, or blue note and it is followed by a note that is to the right of it on the guitar controller’s neck, you can hit the note without strumming the second note by keeping your finger on the first note and then pressing the next note.
Predator referenceThere is a reference to the movie Predator in the song “Helicopter”. After playing the song, go to the “More Stats” screen, or to Practice mode, and get to the screen where you choose what section to play. One of the sections in the song is called “Get Back To The Choppa!!!”, which seems to be a reference to Arnold Schwarzenneger’s line in Predator, when they are all running away from the Predator.
Easy “Axe Collector”, “Burnin’ a Hole in Your Pocket”, “Enlightened Guitarist”, “Got ‘em All”, and “Track Master” achievementsFirst, enable the “Performance mode” code. Then, enable the “All items” code. Go to Expert Career, and enter the store to get the “Axe Collector”, “Burnin’ a Hole in Your Pocket”, “Got ‘em All”, and “Track Master” achievements. Next, select Lou with The El Jefe at the Desert Rock Tour. Select Slow Ride, and intentionally fail to get the “Enlightened Guitarist” achievement.
Easy “Back Up Hero”, “Guitar Wizard”, and “That’s What Friends Are For” achievementsEnable the “No fail” code. Plug two controllers in, and start a Co-op Career mode on any difficulty setting. Successfully complete all songs by playing the left-side screen as lead guitar. Disable the “No Fail” code. Fail a song on the same Co-op Career mode to get the “That’s What Friends Are For” and “Guitar Wizard” achievement. Repeat this process on a different difficulty setting, but select a rhythm or bass part on each song to get the “Back-Up Hero” achievement.
Easy “Buy A Guitar Already” achievementSuccessfully complete Career mode on the Hard or Expert difficulty setting. Turn the Xbox 360 off after saving your game. Plug a regular controller in, then turn your Xbox 360 on. Load the career you just completed. When you enter the character selection screen, you should get the “Buy A Guitar Already” achievement.
Easy “Enlightened Guitarist” achievementAfter unlocking the “Through The Fire And The Flames” song, start a career on the Medium difficulty setting. Then, play through the song. Once you are done, you should get the “Enlightened Guitarist” achievement.
Easy “Whammy Mania” achievementSelect the “Number Of The Beast” song, and tape the whammy bar down. Leave it there for the entire song to get the “Whammy Mania” achievement. Even if it is not moving in and out, it still works. Note: Make sure to hit every long note or you will not be awarded the achievement.
