I dont want to chose the wrong phone please is it good or bad pros, cons

I first wanted the droid razr maxx becuase it was newer but i saw the evo 3d and it was great. Please tell me which phone i should get(and explain)? I have small hands so i thought the maxx might be too wide. i really love the evo 3d but the razr maxx is great. If you are gonig to answer please give some decent reason. thank you

Are there any apps for the droid razr that will allow me to tether my phone to my laptop? So I can use my phone data to get on the internet with my laptop. Preferably free and without rooting my phone

I got my new droid razr maxx a week ago thursday. Just yesterday, randomly my screen shuts off?? Now today its did it about 9 times…its just random. How can i fix this?? Software update or take it into Verizon?? Any suggestions? Thanks!
